Professional Development for Pracitising Teachers (PDPPT)
Teacher Training Top-Up Course
This course is designed for practising teachers of English who need to undertake studies to refresh their own command of the language.
This is achieved by overt study of aspects of the language in an interactive English medium context. This means that teachers involved in the course both study and gain knowledge of the structure, the phonology or the lexical organisation of the language whilst simultaneously practising the language themselves.
Each course focuses on the above three topics and the syllabus for the course is based on th enew specifications for ESOL specialists published by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).
