ISE run an academic year course for students of 13 to 18 years of age. This course is for 30 hours per week and runs for 48 weeks, covering English, Maths, Science and ICT (Information & Computing Technology). The course is suitable for younger students who wish to study for at least one year in the UK, but do not have the necessary English skills for mainstream education, or require additional support to obtain their desired qualifications.
Teacher contact: Total 30 hours per week
English - 15 hours per week
Maths - 6 hours per week
Science - 6 hours per week
I.C.T. (Information & Computing Technology) - 3 hours per week
Homework
Students are expected to have 20 - 90 minutes homework every night during the week, and 3 hours over the weekend.
Examination
Each subject will be aimed at an appropriate qualification. English will be targeted towards UCLES (Cambridge) examinations of PET and FCE. Maths, Science and I.C.T. will targeted towards Keystage 3 and GCSE qualifications
Teachers
The Academic Year programme uses only Department of Education registered teachers, qualified to teach teenagers. Our teachers have a minimum of 2 years experience, and also possess experience of teaching people from foreign countries.
Class size
Our classes have a maximum of 8 students. This guarantees that your child can easily talk to the teacher, and the teacher can spend more time looking after the individual needs of your child.

Accommodation
Includes breakfast and an evening meal with the family, and a packed lunch at school. Students will have a single room, with a desk, chair, cupboard and power point access. All accommodation is strictly checked, and all homestay families are also police checked.
Fees
Tuition fees are £8750.00 per year. This is payable in three instalments as follows:
January - £2920.00
April - £2920.00
August - £2910.00
Accommodation fees are £4512.00 per year. This is payable in three instalments as follows:
January - £1504.00
April - £1504.00
August - £1504.00
Additional Fees
Airport Transfers, Books and Examination Fees are NOT included and will be billed as incurred. Local bus passes can be purchased at a cost of £240 per year for unlimited travel. We recommend that students have a personal computer to use a home. ISE can supply a second hand laptop for £250 for students who do not own a computer.
Computing
Students can use the ISE network after registering. They will obtain Internet access and use of most software titles free of charge.
Classrooms
Academic Year students have their own dedicated classroom, complete with desks, resources and materials. Students also have individual lockers where they can keep books, files and personal items.
Summer
During July and August, students will continue to study English every morning. In the afternoon they will join our Young ISE summer activities programme of excursions, trips and sports activities. There is no additional cost, though prior consent for a specific activity is may be required.
