Social and Cultural Activities

Attentive planning also goes into the organisation of social activities, so that the right balance between learning and leisure is achieved. ISE organises excursions and visits to museums, theatres, concerts and places of historical interest as well as providing the opportunity to take part in many sporting activities.

School Organised Events

ISE organises parties, barbeques or themed nights for students, staff, teachers & friends of the school to enjoy together. You can expect to find us celebrating the End of Year, End of Summer, Halloween, Bonfire Night & international food nights!

Excursions

London	Guided tour of London's famous sights, River Cruise on the Thames, the Changing of the Guard Ceremony (when applicable) & free time for shopping. Optional visit to Madame Tussauds.
Oxford	Few cities are so packed with ancient and notable buildings. Made famous in the 17th century when King Charles I made it an alternative capital. More famous today as the largest university town in England.
Bath and Stonehenge	Visit Europe's most prehistoric monument, Stonehenge built in1500BC (admission included). Audio tour of the fascinating Roman Baths Museum (admission included). Free time in the afternoon in Bath.
Canterbury & Leeds Castle	Visit C12th Leeds Castle & Gardens and Canterbury cathedral founded in 597, the centre of the Church of England. Canterbury is perhaps the most visited city in England outside of London.
Winchester	The ancient capital of England with its famous cathedral dating back to the 7th century. Several of England's early Kings are buried here.
Isle of Wight & New Forest	Visit the village of Lyndhurst and its ponies in the heart of the New Forest. Coach tour around the charming Isle of Wight. Visit Alum Bay with its colourful sands, and The Needles. Also visit the Model Village in pretty Godshill.
Cambridge	Guided tour of Cambridge's most famous sights. Visit King's College & Chapel. Free time in the afternoon
Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon	Visit the beautiful village of Bourton on the Water. Visit Shakespeare's Birthblace & Museum (admission included). Free time in the afternoon.
Windsor, Eton & Hampton Court Palace	Visit one of the grandest palaces in England, Hampton Court Palace. Visit Windsor & Eton where you will have the opportunity to visit Windsor Castle and the famous boys school, Eton College, attended by Prince William.
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, London Eye & the Tate Modern Gallery	A fantastic afternoon & evening on London's South Bank. Visit the unique Globe theatre where you will see one of Shakespeare's plays. See London from the world's largest ferris wheel on a spectacular 30 minute journey, and visit London's newest gallery, the Tate Modern.
